What!? A Smerd strip with no punchline? Sacrilege!

Yes, this one is a little somber. We'll return to humorous strips and stories next time. This particular strip leads into Mary being grounded by her mom at the beginning of the fourth Velocity Girl and Xuàn Hú novel "Deep Roots" available Christmas 2008!

Don't worry, Velocity Girl will be back in action for the next Smerd webcomic strip as Episode 19 will take place after the events in "Deep Roots." In the meantime, have you read the first three: the origin novel, "Ready to Rumble", and "Shadows of Destiny"?
